We are looking for competent caregivers to care for our clients in a professional and compassionate manner. It can be a demanding job, as you may have to be available for most of the day and/or week. But it can also be very satisfying and rewarding, since people who are ill, injured, disabled or elderly are usually thankful for high quality assistance.

The ideal candidate will be patient and friendly with excellent communication skills, and will have access to reliable transportation to ensure that arrival to work will not be a problem. You should be able to follow instructions and perform a variety of tasks to help clients.

We offer full or part-time employment, with flexible schedules; we pay between $17 and $21 per hour, depending on client location, services needed, and caregiver performance. All care is provided in each individual client’s home – not in our office.

100% employer-paid benefits are offered to caregivers working 36 or more hours per week with us!  We offer Dental, Vision, Accident and Short-Term Disability Insurance.

Responsibilities

• Remind clients to take prescribed medication
• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks etc.)
• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene
• Plan and prepare meals with assistance from the clients (when they are able)
• Do the client’s shopping or accompany them when they shop
• Perform light housekeeping duties that clients can’t complete on their own
• Be a pleasant and supportive companion
• Report any unusual incidents
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency

Skills Needed

• Proven experience as a caregiver
• Must be legally able to work in the US, and can pass a background check
• Excellent knowledge of emergency response and first aid (CPR)
• Knowledge of homemaking duties and cooking with attention to dietary constraints
• Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards
• Respectful and compassionate
• Good time management skills
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
• Speak/understand at least some English is strongly preferred
• Strong ethics
• Physical endurance
• High school diploma or equivalent
